Body Wash Inventory 2018

body wash

I am actually really proud of myself that I only have three body wash back ups. I don’t know how long this will last, but probably the whole year. I don’t go through a ton of body wash. I also have two bars of soap currently. I am happy that I will be shopping for new soap next year as well. Marshalls always have nice vegan soaps from local handmade shops and they aren’t too expensive. I would love to buy some from there after I am done with all of these.

It is actually good to me that some of these categories won’t take too long to write. I need to keep myself accountable and not shop for something just because they are on sale. I’m not saving money, when these purchases sit for years in my collection untouched.

Selena

Project 200 Pan: Intro

I have so many posts to write and share that I feel like I won’t be caught up until March. I haven’t posted a product review in FOREVER and my blog used to be all about the reviews. I want to get back to that, but for right now, I have so many posts to write for the new year. Once everything calms down, get ready for a storm of reviews. LOL. I’m going to try to sprinkle some in when I can, but gosh, inspiration can be a bad thing as well. I was feeling so uninspired in 2017 and now, I am full of ideas and projects.

My Project 200 Pan is to hit pan and use up 200 assorted beauty products including but not limited to makeup, body, skin, and hair care. Basically anything beauty related and I will count foil packets and perfume samples. 5 of them will be counted as 1 item. I am counting full size and deluxe as well in this project. I am counting every time I hit pan in a powder product as 1 as well. So, if I pan an eye shadow, blush, bronzer, highlighter, etc it will count and if I finish it, I will be counting it again.

I will be doing my empty posts as well. These Project Pan posts will be more about counting the items and adding up the monetary amount and keep me accountable every month. I hope you all enjoy these posts this year.

#ManicureMonday

I actually got to paint my nails and toe nails this past Monday! I am going to be painting my nails every Monday or hopefully every Monday. I might miss some just to give my nails a break. They get a bit brittle if I paint them too many weeks in a row. I think every three or four weeks, I will do a bare week and cuticle cream every night. That usually keeps them in tip top shape.

In different lighting, my nails can look more lavender or more pink. They are mostly pink, but look lavender in natural lighting. I am using Julep’s IT GIRL nail polish in Carly. It is also a nail strengthener, which I appreciate. At least, it isn’t making my nails as brittle as other polishes. I really enjoy this nude color for the winter and spring time. I will be getting most of my use of it during that time. It might look good with a tan, but it is way too light for Fall. Danielle bought me this for my birthday one year and I just tried it now and I am in love. I wish it was a bit more lavender though.

2018 Inventory

Hey guys!

I wanted to kick off the year with my yearly inventory into all of my beauty products. I will be separating every category into its own post throughout the month of January and possibly into February. I do a second inventory check in half way through the year to help keep me accountable. I want to see how much has changed since last July. I want to know if I am using my stuff up and what and how much that I have left. I am constantly using stuff up and getting in new stuff. My collection is in constant flux.

I just wanted to let you know that these posts are coming as well as project intros for the year, so if you likes these types of posts, give me a like so I know that I should continue to do them. I like doing intros to let you know what’s coming and in the works. I haven’t taken any photos of my makeup collection yet. I plan on doing that next week hopefully. I’m not sure if there are enough days left in the month to get everything up in January. I have so many post ideas! Hopefully, I don’t burn out in a few months from using up all of my ideas. LOL

Project $200 Pan Finale

I had fun for the past 6 months trying to use up $200 worth of makeup products. I already know that I have won this challenge and I feel really proud of myself. I know that this year’s challenge will be a success as well as long as I work at it and don’t slack off too much. Now, let’s recap from last month. I used up $189.18. I think I beat the $200 mark for sure with these two products.

I finished the Laura Mercier loose setting powder at $4.56. The Vampire perfume went for $20.00. So I bet my goal of $200. I ended my project in December at $213.74! This was such a fun project and I look forward to the new project that I am planning next year. Stay tuned to find out what I am doing in 2018!

December Empties

Instead of saying another month gone, I’ll say another year gone this time around. I believe the older you are, the faster time seems to go by. Time never went by this fast when I was in high school. It only ever went fast when I was actually enjoying my life. Now, days that drag and days that fly, all seem to go at the same pace. Sounds cliche and maybe it is but it is also the truth. I would never go back in time. I want to always be moving forward, never going back. For the new year empties, I am going to be trying a new style of empty posts. Stay tuned until Feb to see the new empties.

December was a light month for me and January is already looking better. I have been decluttering some makeup products here and there that are just not good anymore. As I go throughout the year, I plan on decluttering anything that I don’t like that I know are recent products to friends and anything else can and will be thrown away. It’s time for a new me that doesn’t keep products around just to have them.

Ultra HD

MUFE Ultra HD Microfinishing Loose Powder

powder

The powder seemed chunky and would not stick to my flat top kabuki brush, which is the type of brush I like to use my powders with. The Sephora and Covergirl powder did not have that problem. The powder also made my face feel dry. I am not a fan of this powder and I will not purchase it. I will be keeping the container, because it is the perfect size to scoop in some of the cream product from my Smashbox palette and it has a lid so it won’t dry out. I think I’ll scoop in some of the purple corrector for the first go around.
